Lambourn Methodist Church now meets in the Memorial Hall on Oxford Street.
Sunday Services are at 10:15am although some of the congregation gather from 9.45am for prayer before the service. Refreshments are served after the service. In addition to our regular Sunday worship we also have a social group, the Friendship Group, which meets on Thursdays 2-4pm at the British Legion.
Lambourn are a friendly bunch that gladly welcome newcomers.
After what has seemed a long process we are getting nearer to setting up a Food Bank in Lambourn. We are "Piggybacking " with Swindon Food Bank. The idea is that we shall collect food here which will be taken over to Swindon, where they will pack the boxes for us. We are gradually setting up links within the community with various agencies who will give the vouchers to individuals and families who are finding difficulty in coping.
We are delighted that the three Lambourn Churches are joining together for this project. Richard (the Swindon Project Manager) is cutting his teeth on us before setting up other "piggyback" groups in Faringdon and Royal Wootton Bassett, so hopefully we shan't have too many hiccups.
