An afternoon of music and tea with a plentiful supply of cake was held at Kintbury Methodist Church on March 23rd. The music was provided by Conchordia, featuring Carol and Peter, Rita and Neil in some wonderful four-part harmony singing. The music ranged from 'songs from the shows' to some river-based English music and concluded with two gentler pieces — 'Let there be peace on earth' and 'An Irish Blessing' before an inspiring rendition of 'Edelweiss'.
The appreciative audience of over 40, were encouraged to join in where appropriate and enjoyed themselves doing so. It was a joy to see people from other Circuit churches and ecumenical friends all coming together. A retiring collection raised £350 for church funds.
