St. Andrew's Methodist Church is located on the south side of Weyhill Road approximately opposite the Tesco Express and between a row of small shops and the railway bridge, with a bus stop in front. The chapel has moveable chairs, usually arranged with two side gangways and one central aisle.

On Sundays 'Come and Sing' at 10:30am, followed by morning worship at 10:45am. A traditional pattern of hymns and prayers, with Sermon is usual but depending on the preacher there may be a variation within this format. An organ accompanies worship but there is also a sound system for tapes and CDs.

We are a small friendly congregation that welcomes visitors whenever we have the pleasure of meeting you.

St. Andrew's minister is Rev'd Rachel Borgars.

Parking is available at the Church for about 20 vehicles. There is some permissive parking outside local businesses, outside of business hours.

Purpose: Our purpose is to respond to the Gospel of God's love in Christ
Objectives: To fulfil our purpose we will:-

  • Provide worship that is thoughtful, prayerful, challenging, uplifting and varied;
  • Offer a welcoming fellowship;
  • Encourage growth in Christian understanding and experience;
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for all;
  • Continue to witness through the example of our Christian faith at home, work and in the Community;
  • Seek relevant ways of communicating our faith;
  • Efficiently and wisely to manage our resources.

St. Andrew's has installed large screen monitors to display hymn words and other presentations to worshipers, using either EasyWorship or PowerPoint software. We now no longer need traditional hymn books and have dispensed with those, using the monitors to display all hymn words and bible texts. This means we can now offer visiting preachers the facility to choose any hymn from Hymns and Psalms, Songs of Fellowship or Singing the Faith, and be able to create a mix from all of them. Digital images, recorded music and video may also be incorporated in the presentation.
