Whitchurch New

Whitchurch Methodist Church is located on Winchester Street in the heart of the town centre, and is open for personal prayer or reflection whenever possible during the week (except Wednesday mornings).

Sunday services are held at 10:30 am and once a quarter on the first Thursday of the month we host Xpect at 7:30 pm. Xpect is an alternative worship, café style with refreshments and the Xpect band. We have a Ladies Fellowship group who meet Thursday afternoons at 2:30pm for a mixture of interesting talks and informal worship, always with refreshments. Our Prayer Time team (which is open to anyone) meets on Fridays at 9:15am. You will find a warm friendly welcome at any of our services or groups.

The Church is also open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 am to 12 noon for refreshments, friendly chat and the sale of Fairly Traded goods. We also support Operation Christmas Child (the Samaritan's Purse annual shoebox appeal) and the Andover Food Bank. The proceeds from Saturday coffee mornings are donated to a variety of national and local charities, including Andover Street Pastors.

We are active members of Churches Together in Whitchurch, with our Baptist, Church of England and Roman Catholic colleagues. We organised the #christmasangel project in 2016 and will be encouraging others to share in the Thy Kingdom Come prayer initiative between Ascension Day and Pentecost.

Free parking is available at three public car parks, all within a short walking distance. There is some street parking after 6 pm and at weekends.

Our Mission Statement

Whitchurch Methodist Church seeks to be a local Christ-centred church, maximising its position within the centre of the town. Our mission is to pray, worship and work together, supporting each other in bad times and good.

Our aim is to become a leading player within our own community and the wider world by reaching out to meet, understand, help and walk alongside people where and when possible, sharing God's love with all.
